Responsibility

SUMMARY

Manages the development and implementation of training programs for the field sales organization, distributors and end users. Training classes can range from: Digitization, Mixit Pro, Product Training, Advanced Product Training and Color Tinting in all brands.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

– Develops and modifies appropriate training programs for each assigned product including documentation, visuals, demonstrations and training schedules to ensure proper training is given.

– Conduct dynamic and professional product training classes. Present a positive image of self, our products and AkzoNobel. Demonstrate the correct application per product recommendations.

– Demonstrate product related programs of Digitization.

– Educate students on EPA laws and waterborne technology. Provide input on improving courses.

– Proof and edit content to ensure accuracy & consistency. Communicate with training department, ATC (Automotive Training Center), and Management.

– Ensure ATC presents a professional image, is well maintained and appropriately stocked with necessary products to conduct training and testing. Maintain inventory at a functional level within budget. Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping to maintain corporate image on issues with training materials and course content.

– Continuously evaluate the performance of products and techniques to ensure quality standards are met. (Product Stewardship)

– When required, conduct special projects and testing in a thorough and objective manner.

– Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.

– Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.

– Be able to assist in developing distributors’ skills for implementing cost savings and efficiency improvement plans for end-users based on the application of technical solutions.

– Support the launch of new product and service offerings

– Must have good communication and computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

– Conduct prospect Discovery Days to assist Strategic Sales MSO (Multi Site Operators).


Job requirements / Candidate profile

– High school education or equivalent

– 5 years automotive car refinishing experience

– Preferred technical college (vocational) education (2 yrs.)
