Role Description:

You will be part of the dynamic Citizen Interaction Centre (CIC) team – a team of social media experts who engage, on behalf of our client, with consumers and online communities through relevant conversations, content & experiences. The CIC team thrives in conceiving ideas, building connection plans and executing initiatives across a range of social media platforms and across a number of iconic brands. Our vision is to continuously bring innovation and deliver social media excellence in all of the 10 markets we currently cover in Central & Southern Europe.


The Social Media Strategist has excellent strategic thinking, analytical and communication skills. They will work closely with a team of Community Managers, Analysts, marketeers, communication specialists and agencies in their market to ensure that campaigns are executed or supported effectively across social media platforms.


They will need to draw on qualitative and quantitative data in order to analyze and develop clear strategies, and will need to deliver innovative approaches/methodologies. As such, being able to take analysis through to a recommendation and communicate effectively (both verbally and through effective presentations) is an important skill within this role, as is the ability to inform & influence stakeholders across various functions and seniority levels.


The Social Media Strategist will drive social media best practice by immersing themselves in the digital world – pushing the boundaries and integrating innovation to achieve commercial potential for the business.


Responsibilities:


.Leads the development & implementation of a solid and comprehensive strategic approach across the different social networks, coordinating social media plans and working closely with Connection Planning Manager and the media agency

.Provides social media objectives per campaign, aligning clear paid social media recommendations with key stakeholders, tests new paid media models and tracks past record of success

.Coaches, develops and supervises a team of Community Managers, organizing day-to-day project implementation and execution of local social strategies

.Identifies opportunities & proposes/implements special social projects & initiatives [i.e. social contests, local asset development, relationship with social platforms]
.Works with Social Media Area Managers to define and prioritize strategic challenges / opportunities

.Looks after influencer strategy & outreach in market; manages relationships with VIP, celebrities, online influencers, activation of events and connection with real communities

.Understand SEO & SEM, building and implementing strategies for both to be used for online content

.Develops senior level strategic communications and management presentations based on information gathered by Social Media Analysts & Community Managers

.Collects and consolidates local reports, providing routine topline insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and Senior Leadership Team

.Tests and recommends new social media tools regarding how best to further evolve tool base for listening / analytics

.Evaluates and adapts best practices from the wider business (Europe/Global), and develops guidelines to enhance team effectiveness, efficiency, and creativity

.Coordinates & follows up on campaigns with external agencies, in relation to paid and owned media

.Provides routine feedback and recommendations to Social Media Area Managers and local stakeholders/agencies based on past learnings as part of the content calendar cycle (what content worked/didn’t work/why etc.)

.Alongside Knowledge & Insight Manager, supervises and schedules activity for Social Media Analysts (e.g. research requests, ad-hoc reporting)


Key competencies


.Strategic thinking – ability to identify opportunities and turn consumer insights into social plans & actionable campaigns

.Deep understanding of social networks, online paid strategies, SEO, SEM, as well as paid strategies across key platforms – FB, Twitter, YT – and keeps abreast of online trends and developments

.Experience developing & implementing campaigns and social media plans and expertise in engaging and activating online communities

.Leadership – ability to take initiatives, define plans, share knowledge and use learnings to improve

.People management skills – ability to lead a small team on a day to day basis , to ensure campaigns and plans are executed on time & on strategy

.Exceptional communication skills – digital/social marketing experience with strong written and verbal communications skills in Italian & English

.Collaborative in nature – you will be dealing with multiple stakeholders across the business


Job Requirements:


Education: Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a new media / marketing / business / journalism course


Related work experience: 4-5 years social media strategy & campaign development/implementation, preferably within a digital/social agency


Skills: Excellent communication skills, keen social media & technology user, ability to develop & implement compelling social media campaigns & content. Experience working within a virtual environment & managing multiple stakeholders on both a local & central level
