Scope and purpose of the job
The role of the Year 4 teacher is to be responsible for the academic, social, emotional and physical development of pupils within the primary age range. It also requires teachers to work closely and flexibly with colleagues across the Primary school and also, depending on the age range taught, with staff in the Early Years Foundation Stage and liaising with staff in the school’s Secondary Section.
Person specification and requirements
Essential:
Be a fully qualified primary or graduate teacher.
Be fluent in the school’s language of instruction (English).
Have a strong desire to work with pupils in the primary school.
A patient, caring and creative classroom practitioner.
Adhere to all school policies particularly those pertaining to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, SEN and Child Protection.
Desirable:
Have an understanding of the English National Curriculum.
Have experience of working within Key Stage 2 (Year 4).
