Role Summary/Purpose The PACS ROC (Remote Operational Centre) Technical Support Engineer is a Level 3 support providing remote technical support services for GE HCIT PACS products to external and internal customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide level 3 support to regional HCIT Service engineers to facilitate the resolution of technical issues
Perform analysis of determined incidents to establish root cause and develop knowledge of service teams to avoid repeated incidents
Manage multiple investigations with varying severity ensuring that problem/incident are prioritized
Promote Teamwork within ROC and ensures global technical standards are met, building effective relationships with the service and engineering teams
Proactively share knowledge, contributes to problem solution database and provision of product trainings to service/ROC teams
Work collaboratively with remote L4 teams to excel in remote investigation of incidents/problem investigations
Participate in a 24×7 on-call shift rotation for the support of the GE HCIT PACS product lines
Contribute to service initiatives, activities to enhance the service experience
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree in an IT related field or equivalent
Knowledge of relational database systems such as Sybase/MS SQL server
Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
Good communication skills – written and oral.
Inspire confidence and communicate with customers from different levels in a professional manner
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
Strong analytical capability
Ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadline
Aptitude to define actions plans to execute issue resolution
