Job Summary:

Responsible for the accomplishment of work methods improvement, work simplification, and work standards initiated to increase productivity and to reduce production cost and waste. Provides precise capacity data by reviewing/revising time standards. Supervises industrial engineers, methods and standards engineers, time study and related personnel as required

Duties and Responsibilities:

.Maintain Industrial Engineering staff consistent with company objectives

.Advise and participate in the selection of new machines for the plant

.Review and approve new designs with regard to manufacturing economics and feasibility recommending re-design to facilitate manufacture or reduce cost

.Review manufactured item for make or buy decision; objective being to optimize price, manufacturing capacity and quality

.Review current manufacturing procedures and develop methods to improve cost, lead time and/or quality of parts

.Determine optimum layout and space utilization

.Develop and implement ideas for productivity improvements throughout the company

.Responsible for writing and maintenance of detailed manufacturing processes and NC programs. This includes all data required to produce accurate methods and standards

.Responsible for continued efforts at stimulating improvement in the education and performance of personnel assigned as we as him/herself.

.Develop and implement manufacturing strategies with all levels of the organization

.Manage to plant and department budget

.Assist in other areas as needed

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

.At least 5 years of management experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

.Proven computer skills; including Microsoft Office Suite

.Proven verbal and written communications skills

.Team player with good superior and peer relationship skills

.Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude towards work and demonstrated belief in continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

.Minimum of BS/BA degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

.Proven leadership in driving/developing performance metrics

.Experience with continuous improvement implementation

.Change management experience

.Multi-site experience preferred
