Kemira’s Oil & Mining segment provides a unique combination of innovative chemicals and application knowledge that improves process efficiency and yield in oil, gas and metals recovery. We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing that all maintenance work is completed in the safest, highest quality, and most efficient manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
.Provide day-to-day supervision and direction for the hourly workforce in the Maintenance Department.
.Ensure all safety standards, procedures, and programs are followed to provide an incident free workplace.
.Provides expertise to prepare, implement, and revise the Preventative and Predictive Programs
.Ensures that maintenance is planned, scheduled and performed in the most cost-effective manner
.Reviews work planning and weekly scheduling with the Maintenance Planner, Production Area Supervisors, Production Coordinator, and attends daily planning meetings.
.Reviews work plans and supervision of contractor activities including mechanical, electrical, and insulation.
.Assist in Capital Project work including equipment deliveries and planning meetings
.Ensures equipment availability is adequate to meet the budget expectations.
.Prioritize job assignments to be completed
.Work with Maintenance Planner to order supplies and parts as needed, including maintaining stock of critical spares
.Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and maintain maintenance files
.Participate in the training and development of maintenance employees. Ensure proper training has been provided and employee is qualified to safely perform work assigned
.Assist in the construction of new projects
Desired skills and experience:
We require a high school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 3 years’ industrial plant maintenance experience, Prior supervisory experience is required, Prior chemical processing experience preferred. Knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, including preventative/predictive maintenance procedures such as vibration, oil, and thermal analysis. You need Solid knowledge of pumps and piping; and basic electrical and instrumentation. Experience in Millwright and rotating equipment knowledge preferred. You need strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment with a high degree of flexibility, strong communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to work well with others.
